Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch, personalised care to clients in their homes. Your main goal will be to support their independence while ensuring their dignity and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.) ✅ Help with mobility and transfers safely ✅ Support meal preparation and feeding where necessary ✅ Administer or assist with medication as per care plans ✅ Provide emotional support and companionship ✅ Maintain cleanliness through light housekeeping tasks ✅ Keep accurate and up-to-date care records ✅ Report changes in clients’ conditions to the relevant team members ✅ Follow health & safety and infection control protocols ✅ Work collaboratively with families, care teams, and other professionals

Requirements

Essential: ✔ Must be a driver with access to a car 🚗 ✔ Minimum one year of UK care experience 🏡 ✔ Eligible to work in the UK 🇬🇧 ✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills 🗣️ ✔ Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to high-quality care ❤️ ✔ Flexible to work weekends and night shifts 🌙 ✔ Understanding of person-centred care, dignity, and safeguarding

Desirable: ➕ SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to obtain) ➕ Experience with eMAR (electronic medication administration records) ➕ Knowledge of Scotland’s in-home care regulations
