Social Worker – NHS Visa Sponsorship Available

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work as a person-centred practitioner, supporting individuals, families and carers to achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting Care Act assessments
• Developing personalised support plans
• Carrying out mental capacity assessments
• Leading safeguarding enquiries
• Working with individuals, families and carers
• Applying asset-based and strengths-based approaches
• Working with partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintaining high standards of professional practice and confidentiality

Applicants must be qualified Social Workers and registered with Social Work England (SWE).

Who Can Apply?

Applications are welcomed from qualified Social Workers, including newly qualified professionals. Final-year Social Work students may also be considered for appropriate opportunities, although the salary for these positions may differ from Band 6.

The role requires candidates who can demonstrate strong communication, organisation, assessment and interviewing skills, together with an understanding of relevant legislation and current challenges within Social Work.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have:

• A recognised Social Work qualification, such as a Social Work degree or DipSW
• Registration with Social Work England
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Experience working with vulnerable people, families and carers
• Experience developing support plans or care packages
• Experience working with partner agencies
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and safeguarding procedures
• Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
• A commitment to anti-discriminatory and person-centred practice

Visa Sponsorship

The vacancy welcomes applications from candidates who may require Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Sponsorship will be assessed in line with the employer’s eligibility requirements and UK immigration rules.
