IT Technician – UK Visa Sponsorship Available

Are you an experienced IT professional looking for an opportunity to build your career in the UK? This IT Technician role offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical support, maintain IT infrastructure and help ensure secure, reliable technology operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with users and internal teams to troubleshoot technical issues, maintain hardware and software, support network infrastructure and contribute to technology upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software and operating system issues across Windows and macOS.
• Install, configure, maintain and repair computers, servers, workstations and other IT peripherals.
• Maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, switches and firewalls.
• Support Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory and user account administration.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Office and enterprise applications, including SCCM, ServiceNow, Jira and BMC Remedy.
• Configure and monitor firewalls, VPNs and other security controls.
• Monitor network performance and help identify potential security risks.
• Record technical issues, solutions and procedures using help desk platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Analyse system logs and network traffic to identify faults and potential vulnerabilities.
• Work with other teams on system upgrades, software patches and hardware deployments.
• Escalate complex technical issues when necessary and ensure problems are resolved efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

Applicants should have a strong understanding of IT systems and technical support, including:

• Good knowledge of computer networking, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs and firewall configuration.
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office and enterprise software.
• Understanding of computer hardware, servers, routers, switches and peripherals.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and basic Linux troubleshooting commands.
• Experience with remote support technologies such as Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support users with different levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems efficiently.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £35,420 – £46,727.49 per year
