Nursing Support Worker (Community) – Health and Care Visa

Job Overview

The Carmarthenshire Community Nursing Service and Continuing Care Team, based at Cross Hands Health Centre in Carmarthenshire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Support Worker to join its community healthcare team.

The successful candidate will work across Carmarthenshire, supporting patients in their own homes and providing high-quality care to people with terminal, palliative and life-limiting conditions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nursing Support Worker, you will:

• Provide personalised care in patients’ homes in line with established care plans.
• Deliver treatment and nursing interventions under the direction of registered nurses.
• Support patients, families and carers with compassion and dignity.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a community nursing team.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and professional practice.
• Support the delivery of community nursing services across different locations.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of community-based care.

The team is committed to professional development and continually improving community nursing practice in line with current health policies and standards.

Working Pattern

This is a permanent position, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

The role operates across a seven-day service, including:

• Weekends
• Bank holidays

The successful applicant must be able to travel between different work locations as required.

Language Requirements

Both English and Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.

Welsh language skills are preferred for this position.

Visa Sponsorship
