Community Care Worker – Scotland

Margarot Forrest Care Management Ltd is a family-owned home care provider with over 30 years of experience supporting people across Scotland.

The organisation is looking for compassionate, reliable and committed Community Care Workers who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients.

No formal care qualification is required, as successful candidates receive comprehensive induction training and ongoing development, including opportunities to work towards SVQ Level 2 and 3 in Care.

• £13.45 per hour for drivers using their own vehicle

Working Hours

The role may involve shifts such as:

• 7:00am–2:00pm
• 4:00pm–10:00pm
• Day shifts
• Night shifts
• 8–10-hour shifts

Main Responsibilities

Community Care Workers will support clients with a range of personal and daily living needs, including:

• Helping clients get up and prepare for bed
• Bathing, showering and personal hygiene
• Hair, dental and skincare
• Toileting and catheter care
• Food preparation
• Medication prompting
• Using lifting and handling equipment
• Maintaining accurate documentation and reports
• Providing respectful, person-centred care

Because the role involves intimate personal care, successful applicants will be required to complete PVG registration.

Requirements

• Previous home-care experience is desirable but not essential
• Around 1 year of home-care experience is recommended
• Full UK driving licence required
• English language skills are compulsory
• Willingness to learn and complete required training
• Compassionate, reliable and professional approach to care
