Glasgow

The largest city in Scotland, Glasgow has emerged from a period of post-industrial decline at the end of the 20th century and is now a force in advanced manufacturing, technology and culture. It metropolitan population is about 1.8 million, making up more than one-quarter of the total in Scotland. Glasgow hosts three highly regarded universities – University of Glasgow, the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University.
