About the Role

Reporting to the Delivery Lead, the successful candidate will oversee the delivery of cloud-native and platform-based technology solutions that support Cambridge’s global assessment services.

This role requires close collaboration with technical teams, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully, securely, and on schedule.

The position follows a hybrid working model, with employees generally spending 40–60% of their working time in the Cambridge office.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Delivery Manager, you will:

• Lead delivery across multiple Agile teams and technology platforms.
• Manage project dependencies and coordinate software releases.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable, and fit for purpose.
• Take ownership of technology performance, supportability, and security compliance.
• Conduct technical impact assessments and delivery planning.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Testers, DevOps Engineers, and Architects.
• Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
• Influence senior business and IT stakeholders.
• Manage delivery risks and resource planning.
• Support the adoption of cloud technologies within delivery pipelines.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

• Significant experience in Delivery Management, Agile Project Management, or Agile Coaching.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience managing software delivery within technical environments.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong technical awareness of modern cloud infrastructure and application architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing team capacity and delivery planning.
• A data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Experience working with distributed or international teams.

Desirable Skills

The following would be advantageous:

• Power BI experience
• Jira, Confluence, GitHub, or Bitbucket
• AI development or implementation experience
• Assessment technology experience
• Cloud or Agile certifications
