Plessey Semiconductors Ltd. is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to join its high-tech manufacturing facility on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will become part of an experienced warehouse team responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics while ensuring the smooth flow of materials across the business.

About the Role

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring materials are available when needed. Working closely with procurement, suppliers, and internal departments, you’ll help maintain efficient warehouse operations and supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Receiving, inspecting, and accurately posting incoming goods into SAP.
• Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities.
• Working with suppliers and the procurement team to resolve delivery issues, shortages, and damaged goods.
• Ensuring the safe handling, storage, and transportation of materials, including hazardous products.
• Operating a forklift to safely load, unload, and move inventory.
• Supporting production teams by ensuring materials are delivered on time.
• Maintaining accurate inventory and warehouse records.
• Issuing stock and monitoring inventory levels.
• Assisting with stock counts and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Ensuring all logistics documentation is completed accurately.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good IT skills with experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
