About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will work within a recovery-focused service that helps residents build confidence, regain independence, and move towards long-term stability.
You’ll provide person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs while working as part of a compassionate and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical, person-centred support to residents.
- Help individuals achieve personal goals and greater independence.
- Support people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance misuse.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with service users.
- Encourage wellbeing, recovery, and social inclusion.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people.
- Good understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness.
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- The ability to work in a person-centred and recovery-focused environment.
Personal experience of homelessness or previous experience supporting vulnerable individuals is welcomed but not essential.
