UK Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship Transfer Available
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced South Indian and Indo-Chinese Chef who is already living and working in the UK and is eligible to transfer their existing Skilled Worker sponsorship to a new employer.
Important: This opportunity is specifically for candidates currently in the UK who already hold a qualifying Chef Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS). Overseas applicants are not being considered.
Visa Eligibility
Applicants must meet the stated transitional requirements:
- Currently living and working in the UK.
- Already hold a UK Skilled Worker visa/CoS as a Chef.
- The first UK Skilled Worker Chef CoS must have been issued before 4 April 2024 to qualify for the stated transitional salary threshold.
- Applicants must be eligible to transfer their sponsorship under current UK immigration rules.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
The employer is looking for a skilled, hardworking, and team-oriented chef with strong practical experience preparing authentic South Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes.
The successful candidate should be able to work independently from day one, particularly with:
- Parotta preparation and stretching.
- High-volume Dosa production.
- Wok-based Indo-Chinese cooking.
- Vegetarian South Indian cuisine.
Training will be provided on the restaurant’s specific recipes and menu, but strong foundational cooking skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Specialist Food Preparation
- Prepare high-quality Parottas, Dosas, and Indo-Chinese dishes.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Work efficiently in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
Kitchen Standards
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and cleanliness.
- Follow Level 2 Food Safety standards and kitchen procedures.
- Ensure food is prepared and stored safely.
Teamwork
- Work closely with the Head Chef and management team.
- Support colleagues during busy service periods.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-focused working environment.
Cost & Waste Control
- Monitor portion sizes.
- Minimise food waste.
- Help maintain efficient kitchen operations and healthy profit margins.
Training & Development
- Support junior kitchen staff.
- Share cooking techniques and practical knowledge.
- Contribute ideas for seasonal menu development.
Requirements
Visa Status
Applicants must already be living and working in the UK on a qualifying Chef Skilled Worker visa/CoS and meet the stated transitional requirements.
Culinary Experience
Strong practical experience in:
- Parotta preparation.
- Dosa production.
- Wok-based Indo-Chinese cooking.
- High-volume vegetarian kitchen operations.
Professional Attributes

Food Safety
