📌 Key Responsibilities
Medication Dispensing
- Accurately dispense medications in line with UK regulatory standards
- Ensure patient safety and correct dosage administration
Patient & Clinical Support
- Advise patients and healthcare professionals on drug use, side effects, and interactions
- Support safe and effective medication decisions
Medication Reviews (ICU focus preferred)
- Conduct detailed medication assessments for patients
- Improve treatment effectiveness and safety outcomes
Team Collaboration
- Work with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Support development of patient-specific treatment plans
Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate and confidential medication records
- Comply with UK healthcare data protection standards
Patient Education
- Educate patients on dosage, timing, storage, and adherence
Professional Growth
- Stay updated with pharmacology and clinical guidelines
🎓 Requirements
- Pharmacy degree from a recognised institution
- Registration (or eligibility to register) with the UK pharmacy regulator (GPhC or equivalent pathway)
- ICU or hospital pharmacy experience is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
