🧾 Role Overview (Simplified)
This role is designed for experienced:
- Deputy Managers in children’s residential homes
- Registered Managers (already Ofsted-approved or previously registered)
- Senior care staff ready to step into leadership
You will oversee:
- Day-to-day running of a children’s home
- Staff supervision and rota management
- Compliance with Ofsted standards
- Safeguarding and care quality
- Documentation and regulatory reporting
📌 Key Requirements
Applicants must have:
- At least 1 year experience as a Deputy Manager in an Ofsted-registered children’s home (NOT 16+ supported living)
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to provide URN (Unique Reference Number) of previous home(s) worked in
- Driving licence preferred
- Experience in safeguarding and leadership in residential care
👉 For already registered managers:
- Proof of previous Ofsted registration required
- Experience in full home management strongly preferred
🕒 Work Structure
- Full-time role
- Shift pattern may include:
- 3 long shifts (9am–9pm) as part of 2:1 staffing
- 1 admin/documentation day (6–7 hours onsite)
- Shared on-call responsibilities with other managers
