Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Scheduling HGVs and coordinating drivers to meet delivery deadlines.
• Monitoring vehicle movements, shipments and deliveries through transport management systems (TMS).
• Processing shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
• Updating logistics and transport records using systems such as AS400 and SyteLine.
• Communicating with drivers, warehouse teams and clients by telephone and email.
• Providing delivery updates and helping resolve transport-related issues.
• Monitoring vehicle status and supporting the smooth running of daily logistics operations.
• Maintaining accurate data and documentation to support supply-chain efficiency.

Skills and Experience

Applicants should ideally have:

• Experience working with transport management systems or logistics software.
• Familiarity with platforms such as SyteLine or AS400 is advantageous.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Professional telephone etiquette.
• Good attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a busy logistics environment.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.

Salary and Benefits

💷 Salary: £140–£145 per day
