HGV / Truck Driver – Visa Sponsorship Available

Eagle Freights Ltd, a logistics and goods transportation company based in Luton, is seeking experienced and reliable HGV drivers to join its team.

About the Role

As an HGV Driver, your main responsibilities will include:

• Safely driving HGV vehicles to transport and deliver goods across the UK.
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections and any incidents or issues.
• Complying with UK traffic laws, driving regulations and company procedures.
• Communicating professionally with clients and providing a high standard of customer service.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and within the required schedules.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A valid LGV C+E driving licence.
• A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• A clean driving record.
• The ability to pass a DBS check.
• Good knowledge of UK roads, routes and traffic regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to road safety.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work five days per week on a tramping shift.
• No history of drug misuse.
• Valid immigration or visa documentation, where applicable.

Previous HGV driving experience is desirable, although the original listing indicates that experience is not necessarily essential.

Preferred Qualifications

The following would be an advantage:

• Previous experience with long-distance or long-haul driving.
• Familiarity with GPS and other navigation systems.
