Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will revolve around community companionship and standard domiciliary care:

Personal Care: Assisting clients with washing, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting/continence care.

Mobility Support: Helping clients move safely around their homes using hoists, slide sheets, and bed rails where necessary.

Nutrition & Hydration: Preparing meals, snacks, and drinks, while monitoring the client’s general wellbeing.

Medication Administration: Administering daily medications accurately according to MAR charts.
-
Companionship: Providing warm emotional support and combating loneliness for elderly or vulnerable adults.
-
Record Keeping: Writing clear, precise care notes at the end of each home visit and reporting health changes to the management team.
Job Specifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

Core Traits: A kind, patient, and deeply compassionate heart (true African hospitality!).

Communication: Strong English communication skills (both spoken and written) for precise care logging.

Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to follow structured care plans carefully.
Highly Preferred (Boosts your chances!):

Experience: Prior experience in healthcare, nursing, or homecare (formal or informal family caregiving experience is highly valued).

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is a massive plus.

Driving: A valid Driving Licence and access to a car is highly preferred for commuting between client homes in Leeds.
Practical Application Details

Commute Question: You must have a reliable personal plan or transport means to move efficiently between shift locations.
