Goodmerch Pubs Limited is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial strategy across its growing pub group. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience in commercial management, revenue growth, pricing strategy, business analytics, or hospitality management who are seeking a UK visa sponsorship job.
The successful candidate will work across two established venues:
- The Red Lion Tavern, Chipping Campden (in partnership with Greene King)
- The Navigation Inn, Wootton Wawen (in partnership with Stonegate Group)
This strategic role focuses on driving commercial performance, revenue growth and profitability rather than day-to-day venue operations.

Founded in late 2025, Goodmerch Pubs Limited has quickly become a successful independent pub group. Within its first eight months of trading, the business generated approximately £500,000 in gross sales through food, beverage, accommodation, private events and business partnerships.
As the company continues to expand, it is investing in commercial leadership to support future growth and acquisitions.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director, the Commercial Manager will oversee commercial strategy across both sites, supporting General Managers with pricing, forecasting, revenue optimisation and business performance.
This is a senior analytical role ideal for someone with strong commercial, financial and data analysis experience.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing budgets and revenue forecasts across food, beverage, accommodation and events.
- Leading menu engineering, pricing strategy and gross profit (GP%) management.
- Optimising room revenue through dynamic pricing, online travel agency (OTA) management and direct booking strategies.
- Driving revenue growth from weddings, private functions and corporate events.
- Building relationships with tour operators, coach companies and corporate clients.
- Managing supplier negotiations and category management across food, beverages, utilities and services.
- Creating commercial dashboards using EPOS data, Excel, Power BI and similar reporting tools.
- Developing forecasting models for revenue, occupancy and profitability.
- Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance through technology and data analytics.
- Supporting commercial due diligence for future business acquisitions.
- Producing weekly trading reports and monthly commercial performance updates for senior leadership.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (RQF Level 6) in Business, Hospitality Management, Commercial Management, Finance, Business Analytics or a related discipline.
- At least three years’ experience in commercial management, revenue management, category management or business analytics, ideally within hospitality, retail or consumer sectors.
- Proven experience managing pricing strategies, gross profit performance, RevPAR and EPOS reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence software.
- Experience with revenue management systems and commercial forecasting.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The legal right to work in the UK or eligibility for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
Desirable Skills
The following would be advantageous:
- SQL or business intelligence platform experience.
- Hotel or accommodation revenue management experience.
- Multi-site commercial management or acquisition experience.
- Knowledge of the UK licensed hospitality sector.
