Build Your Career with a Growing Hospitality Group
Goodmerch Pubs Limited is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Commercial Manager to oversee revenue growth and business performance across its expanding pub group. This is an outstanding opportunity for professionals with expertise in commercial strategy, revenue management, pricing, or business analytics who are looking to secure a UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship role.
This is a strategic, group-level position focused on improving profitability, forecasting business performance, and driving commercial growth—not day-to-day venue operations.
About Goodmerch Pubs Limited
Goodmerch Pubs Limited is a fast-growing independent hospitality company operating two successful venues:
- The Red Lion Tavern – Chipping Campden (in partnership with Greene King)
- The Navigation Inn – Wootton Wawen (in partnership with Stonegate Group)
Since launching in late 2025, the business has experienced impressive growth, generating approximately £500,000 in gross sales within its first eight months through food, beverages, accommodation, private events, and business partnerships.
As the company continues to expand, it is investing in experienced commercial professionals to support future growth and acquisitions.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director, you will lead the commercial strategy across both venues, working closely with General Managers to maximise revenue, improve margins, and enhance overall business performance.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analysing data, developing pricing strategies, and identifying new opportunities for commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
As Commercial Manager, you will:
- Prepare commercial budgets and revenue forecasts across food, beverage, accommodation, and events.
- Develop pricing strategies and manage gross profit (GP%) performance.
- Optimise room revenue through dynamic pricing, occupancy planning, and distribution channel management.
- Increase revenue from weddings, private events, and corporate functions.
- Build relationships with tour operators, travel companies, coach groups, and corporate clients.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and manage purchasing categories across food, beverages, utilities, and services.
- Create commercial performance dashboards using EPOS systems, Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
- Analyse trading data to improve forecasting, occupancy rates, and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to introduce commercial technology and business intelligence solutions.
- Support commercial due diligence for future acquisitions.
- Produce weekly trading reports and monthly commercial performance updates for senior management.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (RQF Level 6) in Business, Hospitality Management, Commercial Management, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of experience in commercial management, revenue management, category management, or business analytics, preferably within hospitality, retail, or consumer-facing businesses.
- Proven success managing pricing strategies, gross profit performance, RevPAR, and EPOS reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Knowledge of revenue management systems and forecasting techniques.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The legal right to work in the UK or eligibility for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- SQL or advanced business intelligence experience.
- Hotel or accommodation revenue management experience.
- Multi-site commercial management or acquisition experience.
- Knowledge of the UK licensed hospitality sector.
Salary and Benefits
Successful candidates will enjoy:
- Competitive salary of £50,100–£55,000 per year.
- 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for eligible applicants.
- Hybrid working arrangements.
- Free or discounted meals.
- Employee discounts.
- Free on-site parking.
- Career progression opportunities within a rapidly expanding business.
- A senior leadership role with genuine influence over commercial decision-making.

- An up-to-date CV.
- A short cover letter explaining why they are suitable for the role.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged.
