Job Overview

• Position: Care Assistant
• Location: Lewisham & Southwark, London
• Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Live-in, Flexible Shifts
• Salary: £14.90–£15.70 per hour (up to £16.60 with progression)
• Visa: UK Visa Switch Available for eligible applicants

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred support to people in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and a better quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Support clients with medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Promote independence and wellbeing.
• Deliver care in line with individual care plans.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate with the wider care team.

Candidate Requirements

• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering outstanding care.
• Passion for supporting older and vulnerable people.
• Must live in or near Lewisham or Southwark, or within a reasonable commuting distance.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work.
• Applicants seeking a visa switch must already be sponsored and living within the local area.

Salary & Benefits

• £14.90–£15.00 per hour during probation.
• £15.05–£15.70 per hour after probation.
• Progression opportunities up to £16.60 per hour.
• 35p per mile tax-free mileage allowance.
