Job Overview

As a Baker, you will play an important role in the kitchen, helping prepare high-quality baked products and meals while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and organise ingredients according to recipes, standards and instructions.
• Prepare and present food while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Assist with mixing, baking and decorating a range of baked goods.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and storage procedures at all times.
• Support the wider culinary team during busy service periods.
• Keep workstations clean, organised and ready for use.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain service standards and deliver food efficiently.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

• Previous experience in food preparation or a professional kitchen environment.
• Good cooking and food preparation skills.
• Baking and pastry experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• A willingness to learn new culinary techniques and develop professionally.
• A genuine passion for food and baking.

Salary

£12.75 – £15.00 per hour
