About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Community Youth Worker to inspire, support, and empower young people across the community. This rewarding remote role focuses on helping young people develop confidence, life skills, and positive relationships through mentoring, education, and engaging community programmes.

As a Community Youth Worker, you’ll create a safe, inclusive environment where young people can thrive while working closely with families, schools, and community organisations to deliver meaningful support.

Key Responsibilities

• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people through mentoring and guidance.
• Plan and deliver engaging workshops, educational sessions, and community activities.

• Work collaboratively with schools, families, local organisations, and other professionals.
• Monitor participant progress and adapt programmes to meet individual needs.
• Support young people with additional learning or behavioural needs through inclusive practices.
• Maintain a safe environment by following safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
• Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and programme outcomes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience working with young people in educational, community, or mentoring settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A good understanding of youth development and safeguarding principles.
• The ability to work with young people from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of supporting individuals with additional educational or behavioural needs.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A genuine passion for helping young people reach their full potential.
