Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Floor Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy hospitality venue. This role is ideal for someone with excellent leadership skills, strong restaurant and kitchen experience, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
As Floor Manager, you will lead both front-of-house and kitchen teams, maintain high food safety standards, ensure operational efficiency, and create an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, service, and presentation while maintaining quality standards.
- Create staff schedules, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor new employees on company procedures and service standards.
- Resolve customer enquiries and complaints professionally to deliver excellent guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage inventory to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Monitor operational costs and maximise efficiency without compromising service quality.
- Support promotional activities, special events, and menu planning where required.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food preparation, and customer service.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Hospitality management experience is highly desirable.
- Barista experience is an advantage but not essential.
- A professional attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Salary
£28,000 – £32,000 per year
