Job Responsibilities

As a Night Porter, your duties may include:

  • Welcoming late-arriving guests and assisting with check-ins and check-outs.
  • Responding to guest requests and room service needs.
  • Monitoring hotel security and CCTV systems.
  • Conducting fire, health, and safety checks.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in reception, lobby, and public areas.
  • Assisting guests with luggage and transportation needs.
  • Preparing breakfast and conference facilities for the next day.
  • Supporting night audit and administrative tasks.
  • Handling guest concerns professionally.
  • Assisting with room cleaning when necessary.

Skills and Requirements

Successful applicants should possess:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts.
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer and administrative skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Opera Five and Opera Cloud hotel management software (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Night Audit.
  • Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
