Founded in 2016, the Ijebu Boys Association is a non-profit, non-political philanthropic organisation made up of men who grew up in the Ijebu region of Ogun State during the 1970s and early 1980s. The Association is dedicated to advancing human and infrastructural development in Ijebuland through education, economic empowerment, social initiatives, and thought leadership, while also promoting the welfare of its members.
Over the years, IJBOYS has made notable contributions to healthcare and economic development. One of its flagship programmes is the Annual Three-Day Free Medical Outreach, now in its 7th edition, which has delivered free medical consultations, diagnostic services, medications, and meals to thousands of residents across Ijebuland. The Association has also sponsored health insurance coverage for vulnerable community members, improving access to quality healthcare.
Further supporting the health sector, IJBOYS has donated essential drugs to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu. On the economic front, the Association successfully hosted an Economic Summit and Trade Fair in 2025, aimed at promoting local enterprise, trade, and sustainable economic growth in the region.
The newly elected Executive Council has pledged to build on these achievements and expand IJBOYS’ impact across healthcare, education, and economic empowerment initiatives.
In his New Year message, President Barr. Kayode Okenla expressed deep appreciation to members for their unwavering commitment and dedication, while congratulating them on the New Year. He assured both Council members and the general membership of renewed energy and focus in advancing the Association’s mission.
“The year 2026 is a special one for our great association as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary of remarkable successes and impactful contributions to humanity, the development of Ijebuland, and Idagbasoke Dédé Akílẹ̀ Ìjẹ̀bú. We remain committed to delivering greater value, sustaining our vision, and deepening growth and development. Our focus is to serve humanity and advance the collective interests of our members,” Barr. Okenla stated.
