Nigerian-British Author Imelda Emmanuel-Jack Launches Prayer Book for Kids & Praise Kids TV

HIGHLIGHT: ‘Kids Prayer Plant Books’ Launch Event

What a wonderful day for the Nigerian community in Derby and beyond! On Friday, November 29th, the Boyer Street Community Rooms were buzzing with faith and fun as we celebrated the official launch of ‘The Prayer Plant for Children’ by our very own sister, Imelda Emmanuel-Jack!

From 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM GMT, families gathered for a special afternoon dedicated to nurturing the spiritual lives of our pikin dem (children).

The launch was well-attended by key figures from the Nigerian and Derby community, highlighting the importance of faith and education for the younger generation:

The Vision: Planting Seeds of Faith

Authored by Imelda, a dedicated Business Management graduate and veteran Sunday School teacher, this book is truly a gift to the children’s ministry.

The concept is beautifully simple and deeply effective: Prayer is like a seed you plant, water, and care for until it grows into a beautiful Plant. The launch showcased how the book, complete with its corresponding Planting Kits, uses a hands-on, fun plant demonstration to teach children how to pray and read their Bibles every single day, helping them grow strong in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Launch of Praise Kids TV!

Adding to the excitement, the event also marked the official launch of Imelda’s media platform, Praise Kids TV! This dedicated YouTube channel is a fantastic new resource for Christian songs and gospel storytelling for kids, providing safe, faith-filled entertainment for children across the UK and globally.
