Job Overview

This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday role, essential in coordinating the cancer patient journey.
As a Cancer Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring cancer patients receive timely treatment by managing patient pathways, scheduling appointments, and liaising with medical professionals across the Trust and external facilities.

Key Responsibilities
✅ Engage in community outreach programs to raise awareness of cancer services.
✅ Represent the Trust at local and regional cancer conferences.
✅ Organise daily operations, including meeting scheduling and email correspondence.
✅ Ensure compliance with NHS policies and clinical guidelines.
✅ Collaborate with other coordinators to implement best practices.
✅ Maintain records, generate reports, and assist with data audits.
✅ Coordinate seamless patient care transitions between teams and services.
✅ Document all aspects of service delivery to improve patient support.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
✔ NVQ Level 3-4 in Health or Social Care or equivalent experience.
✔ Five GCSEs (including English & Maths) at grade C or higher.
✔ Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency (ECDL or equivalent).
Desirable:
✔ Communication skills training.
✔ Counselling qualifications.
✔ Basic Cancer Course certification.
✔ Additional short courses leading to a foundation degree or diploma.
✔ Experience managing patient caseloads.
