The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Research Delivery Network Coordinating Centre (RDNCC) will be led by the University of Leeds. Twelve new Regional Research Delivery Networks (RRDNs), hosted by NHS organisations nationwide, will join the University of Leeds to form the NIHR Research Delivery Network. This new initiative will operate as a unified organisation across England, blending national coordination and strategy with regional knowledge, leadership, and engagement with policymakers. The RDNCC’s goal is to promote the successful initiation and implementation of research by collaborating with healthcare professionals in various settings across England’s health and care system.
As a Health and Care Specialties Manager, you will manage the engagement efforts with both National and Local Specialty Leads. This role will involve collaborating with various external partners to improve specialty involvement, creating communication materials, organising meetings and events, formulating agendas, managing actions, and responding to queries from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). Additionally, you will oversee the team of administrators and coordinators, working closely with managers across health and care settings to assign tasks as required.
Your role will require collaboration with colleagues within the RDNCC and, when necessary, with stakeholders from outside the RDN and the University of Leeds. You will also play a pivotal role in assisting with the operational delivery of a cultural change, ensuring that the network operates as a single entity with a shared vision and goal throughout England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage engagement with National and Local Specialty Leads.
- Collaborate with external partners to enhance specialty involvement.
- Create communication materials and organise meetings/events.
- Formulate agendas, manage actions, and answer queries.
- Supervise administrators and coordinators.
- Support operational delivery of the organisational change.
- Travel across the UK as necessary for this position.
