Job Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinician to join the Nottinghamshire CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) Service. The role involves working in a multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties.
As a Family Support Worker, you’ll be triaging referrals, networking, liaising with professionals, and contributing to MDTs (Multidisciplinary Teams). You should be compassionate, confident, and capable of working independently while receiving guidance from the senior team.
Key Responsibilities
✔️ Serve as the first point of contact for CAMHS referrals in Nottinghamshire.
✔️ Screen, triage, and assess referrals while gathering mental health history.
✔️ Identify risk factors, provide psychoeducational support, and guide individuals to the right services.
✔️ Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, task allocation sessions, and referral assessments.
✔️ Work within the THRIVE Model of Care to ensure comprehensive mental health support.
✔️ Attend supervision, peer support sessions, and training to enhance service delivery.
Who Should Apply?
🔹 Essential Qualifications & Skills
✅ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or relevant CAMHS experience.
✅ Willingness to pursue further training and education.
✅ Experience working with children & adolescents facing mental health challenges.
✅ Ability to build therapeutic relationships with young people & families.
✅ Strong documentation & record-keeping skills.
🔹 Desirable Experience
💡 Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
💡 Experience working in community settings, multidisciplinary teams, or delivering therapeutic interventions.
